He was the BBC TV's Middle East Correspondent, a Correspondent for ITN's News at Ten, Presenter of Sky World News and Anchor of RTE's Prime Time Programme.
He has thousands of hours of broadcast interview experience behind him and his interviewees have ranged from Presidents and Prime Ministers to film stars and royalty.
Today as Proprietor of Macmillan Media, he oversees the daily editorial content of our ITV Daybreak news bulletins in North Scotland, Central Scotland and Northern Ireland.
